Kratom tree

Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a tropical evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. The tree can grow up to 25 meters tall, but most Kratom trees cultivated for commercial use are between 4 and 15 meters tall.

Kratom trees have a smooth, gray bark, and their leaves are dark green and glossy. The leaves can grow up to 20 centimeters long and 12 centimeters wide and are oval-shaped with a pointed tip. The veins of the leaves can be green, red, or white, depending on the variety.

Kratom trees grow in tropical climates with high humidity and rainfall. They prefer well-draining soil and partial shade but can tolerate full sun exposure. Kratom leaves are typically harvested by hand, and the leaves are dried and processed into Kratom powder, capsules, or extracts for commercial use.

It is important to note that Kratom is not currently regulated by the FDA, and its safety and efficacy for medical use are still being studied. Therefore, it is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider before using Kratom or any other substances for medical purposes.
